SeaSquared Fishing Charters

Exclusive Report

No one, least of all the Captain, expected the surprise visitor to the boat during this fishing charter!

Captain's Blog - November 19, 2009 - Marathon Florida Keys - SeaSquared Charters set out for a day of reef fishing with some folks who spend the winter in Islamorada: Dora Potash, Bassi Kristmanns and David Barr. Yellowtail snapper was the target and, boy, that fishing was just plain silly! Even with a self-imposed 14 inch minimum size, the group limited out on mostly 16-pl… Continue

SeaSquared Fishing Charters

Exclusive Report

Pete Donnelly, of Key Colony Beach FL and Spring Lake NJ, hosted a group of friends visiting from the Jersey Shore for a day of fishing with SeaSquared.

The original intent was to go to the far Gulf in search of cobia. However, due to the 30-40 knot winds, the course was changed and the group went for a half day of shark fishing instead.

The waters were alive with sharks. There were so many that, on more than on occassion, they were hooked up to one when the bait slid up the… Continue

SeaSquared Charters

Exclusive Report

Marathon locals Jim McDermott (L) and John Yaquinto enjoyed a half day of reef fishing with SeaSquared Charters.

Conditions were excellent with wind and current running in the same direction. There was a nice breeze out of the northeast and the visability at 50 feet was crystal clear.

The yellowtail were thick and responded quickly. The guys lost a couple of the larger 'tails to goliath grouper and a big king mackerel. They got their limit of 16-17 inch yellowtail in about 90… Continue

florida fishing reports

It was another windy week as Ida made her way up the Gulf to Mississippi, and I didn't get out until Friday.

My trip was the first with Chris Heaphy and his lovely wife Jan, and his son Kyle, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Chris and I had corresponded back and forth quite a bit on email, and I could tell from that he would be great to hav… Continue

Capt. Alan Sherman "Get Em" Sportfishing Charters

I apologize for the lapse in fishing reports lately but that happens when I am busy and that is the reason I have not written recently. Fishing has been very good despite the crazy weather we have had recently. I operate my business from a 22’ Pathfinder Tournament Edition Bay Boat that is powered by the most dependable outboard engine on the market. A Yamaha F-225 Four Stroke outboard engine! This boat and outboard along with my Continental Trailer and my Chevy Avalanche SUV allow me to go wher… Continue
